Bill Barry, MD, FACS

Dr. Bill Barry is Board Certified in General Surgery.  He earned his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Tennessee College of Medicine.  After completing a residency in Internal Medicine at the City of Memphis Hospitals, he practiced Internal Medicine for two years in Greeneville, Tennessee.  Dr. Barry entered Dr. Roger Sherman’s General Surgical Residency at the University of South Florida in Tampa and completed his surgical training in 1981.  He joined the university faculty as an Assistant Professor of Surgery for another year before opening his own surgical practice in Tampa.  Dr. Barry is a Diplomat of the American Board of Surgery and a Fellow of the Southeastern Surgical Congress.  In 1985 he was elected a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and was one of the founding members of the Tampa Bay Surgical Society.  Dr. Barry joined HealthPoint Medical Group in 2003.  His clinical interests include the surgery of trauma.
